Although Most Spring Brides may have ordered their wedding dresses by now, we are going to take a look at the following trends that are sure to last through to the end of the summer 2010. At Hotel Meyrick we see fabulous brides every week and looking at the dresses coming on line, we feel we're in for an extra special treat this year!
Trend 1: ’50s Glamour
This year a ‘50s style is sweeping the fashion runways. High necklines, tulle skirts, and tea-length styles! Amazingly, the ‘50s glamour focused on waist belts and the elegant bowknots.
Trend 2: The Bold Shoulder
From Michelle Obama to Emmy stars, one-shoulder style seems to have won over a large number of fans. But, this season, the over-the-top details are what really make these asymmetrical necklines stand out.
Trend 3: Bows
From droopy satin styles to more structural ones, these girly details are the hottest knots to hit the bridal dress fashion runways. The girly bows are reminiscent of fairy tales dreams and allow the bride to live the part on her very own special day.
Trend 4 Couture Cover Ups
It’s a bit tough if the wedding is held in the freezing early spring but many brides still want strapless wedding gowns. Don’t worry, there is a great selection of couture cover-ups in the shops – airy tulle boleros, feathered capelets, floor-length lace coats, and many more.
Trend 5 Pretty Pleats
This playful detail works like magic, when twill pleats from the waist down hide the belly fat. A ball gown with the twill pleats and corset closure at the top could perfectly show your body line and give you the extra support every bride wants and needs.
